A Nice Surpise!
On Friday I was going through some more of Dads old papers and I found his original lease on the house he rented. He has lived there for almost 2o years. I rang up the rental bond board and would you believe that within in a few minutes they were able to tell me that the $540 original bond money he paid is still lodged with them!
So once I send in the official guardianship papers they will deposit the money plus interest in Dads account. I wonder how much interest it has earned over the years?
This really was a nice surprise, and they were very helpful on the phone. Dads bank account is empty so this will give us a bit of a buffer for the future.
I am feeling a bit more upbeat today. A few good nights sleep always does wonders. I joined an affiliate competition today that I will be blogging about on my other blog, Making Money Online-Finally if you want to follow my progress. This month I will be reaching, and probably exceeding my goal of making my mortgage payment ($1200) online.

Good luck with the bond money. I can't imagine they would pay a very high interest rate, but I'm curious to learn how that turns out for you.
Hope you can get back on track with the mortgage payments!
I'm not sure when they started paying interest on bond money but it was a while ago now so it should boost it a little bit.
Verry keen to see your progress on earning your mortgage payments online, that should be a huge boost for you over time.
That is great news to be getting $540 back for your Dad- very smart work.
I am interested to hear of your new venture too.
Congrats on the good fortune. Keep us posted on what the interest turned out to be. I'm curious.
